Showby website design

Visual brand update, logo design and responsive website design in Figma

Design of brand identity and website for data & analytics consultancy.

Project context

Showby is a Data & Analytics Transformation Consultancy based in the South west of the UK.

Challenge

We first worked with Showby looking at their brand essence several years ago, and ended up exploring their brand essence through a full brand workshop.

Richard recently got back in touch, as he was looking to update the visual identity, giving it more of a contemporary, digital feel.

The solution

We initially looked at the logo and brand colours – we wanted to retain the idea of change through the analogy of a butterfly and metamorphosis, but felt there was an opportunity to develop the visual aesthetics.

We simplified the shape of the logo, which fulfilled the client’s brief as well as making it more digital friendly and allowing it to be vectorised as well as animated potentially. We also introduced a strong colour gradient through the logo icon and website.

We created a suite of elegant custom iconography, all designed as vector svg files in Figma, allowing them to be visually appealing, yet lightweight on the website.

The website is a single page format currently, although it was important to have the ability to add pages and content easily in the future.

The site has been built in WordPress with a backend CMS, and is fully responsive on multiple devices and viewports.

We have used subtle animation throughout the page, ensuring that the overall brand feel is reinforced through a dynamic way. Separate blocks are also delineated by elegant angled blocks to give a more integrated feel to the overall site.
